I'm Coming Jenny
Day 27/ Oct 17, 2010
Today (Sunday) is the day Great Grandma and Great Grandpa go to church! We all wake up to get ready for Mom Mom's and my first visit to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our breakfast was, scrambled eggs, toast, and fruit cocktail.
We got into the car and drove to church. It was sprinkling rain, so we hustled to get inside. Inside the meeting room, there was an organ and about six dozen people. We all said a prayer, then sang two songs, listened to four speakers and then sang our closing song.
Great Grandma introduced us to many of her friends. Back home, we had lunch, then went to see some sights. Our first stop was the Jacob Hamblin House. Jacob Hamblin was a Mormon explorer who settled a lot of conflicts between the pioneer settlers and native American Indians. His house was big enough to sleep twenty five people. Upstairs was a nice living room with a porch on the back.
For our exercise, we drove up to Snow Canyon State Park and hiked to Jenny's Canyon. I had memories from when we were there last. The sights were beautiful with a touch of cool. Later that evening, we watched Treasure of The Gods (movie about Zion), ate dinner, played Mexican Train, and talked and talked and talked.
