Cold Feet

Day 5/ Sept 25, 2010

To start the day off we had eggs and toast for breakfast. Then we piled in the car and headed to Bridal Veil Falls.

Bridal Veil Falls stand six hundred and seven ft. tall and it is an underground spring which is fed from the cascade mountains behind it. The water was so cold that if you stand in it for too long your feet feel numb. Zach and I went to the middle and sat on rocks that were dry for warmth. We drank the running water there, and it was the best water I have ever tasted in my life. We ended up having to wade into deep water to get back to Aunt Kim and Mom Mom.

After almost freezing to death we headed to the Deer Creek Reservoir. We got a couple of pictures, then we started to Heber. Heber is a kind of Prescott type city with a bunch of little shops. The mountains there were a beautiful sight when the sun hit their backs. For a late lunch we ate outside at Sidetrack Cafe where I had a barbecued pulled pork sandwich. The Cafe was an old refurbished building from the 1800's with plants all along the side. We met the owner, who was very friendly, and we talked for a good ten minutes.

After talking to the owner, we headed for home. At home, we decided we had to go back out to Walmart to get Mom Mom an egg crate mattress for her bed because there was a lose spring. Then for dinner we got Del Taco tacos!

My favorite part of the day was Bridal Veil Fall. The running water provided an adventure for Zach and I to Climb.
